Football match ban for man accused of attacking officer

A football match ban was issued against the 25-year-old who attacked a police officer before a match on Saturday, the Larnaca district court said on Monday.
The court set October 9 as the start date of the hearing, as well as issued a banning order against the man from all football stadiums until then.
The case concerns offences of rioting, assaulting a police officer and resisting lawful arrest, crimes committed on Saturday before a football match between Anorthosis and Aek at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium in Larnaca.
The man was released as the Larnaca police continue investigations.
