Re: Davies: 'We were very soft'

It's good to have a manager who actually responds to the match rather than saying the same old same old. Shows he's learning from the defeats, and will be trying to adapt and improve.

Hopefully we see more fire and aggression against Swansea. Win next week, and beat Sheffield or Coventry, and we're back on track
Fair enough, but to do so we first need to be willing to actually do something called “taking a shot”.
Then we can start thinking about getting one on target, and then onwards and upwards.
Literally in the 96th minute today, when we have had no shots on target since Noah set sail, Duksch passed the ball away from goal (to a Stoke player too) when he could have shot.
I do wonder a bit about what’s going on. CD occasionally talks about being willing to take shots on, or cross the ball, but, if so many of our players are so reluctant to do either surely that comes from what he’s telling them.
He talks a bit more regularly about creating chances, and so presumably believes that we will do this by playing the very slow possession-based style that we have. He obviously knows more than me, but I’m not convinced, and it certainly hasn’t worked so far
