Mikel Arteta singles out Arsenal star who’s giving the team something “different”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta singled out Eberechi Eze for special praise after today’s 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners put in a superb performance as they comfortably beat Ange Postecoglou’s side at the Emirates Stadium with goals from Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres.
Still, Eze was undoubtedly one of the players to watch as he made his first start for Arsenal and produced a quality assist to set up the Gyokeres goal.
Watch below as Arteta praised his front three, but specifically mentioned Eze for giving the team something “different” as he’s an “unpredictable” player with his contributions in attack…

Arteta also praised other key performers like Noni Madueke and Zubimendi, with Arsenal clearly in a good place with so many new signings making an impact.
Arsenal showing signs of improvement as new signings impress
Arsenal invested a lot in new players such as Zubimendi, Gyokeres, Eze and Madueke this summer, and they’ve made a really strong start.
Liverpool will have understandably grabbed a lot of headlines for bringing in the likes of Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike this summer, but Arsenal have also strengthened a lot.
It was an entirely new front three today as Eze, Gyokeres and Madueke lined up from the start for the first time, and they looked really promising.
Zubimendi is also looking like an inspired signing in midfield, scoring two well-taken goals.
Elsewhere, Cristhian Mosquera is also perhaps playing more than expected as he has had to fill in for the injured William Saliba.
So far, Arsenal have barely missed Saliba, which is to Mosquera’s credit as that would have been no easy task for most players.
It’s early days yet, but Arsenal clearly look to have benefited from the strong transfer window they had under Andrea Berta, their new sporting director.
