Jessica Fitzgerald Signs For Hibs Women!

We are delighted to announce the signing of Jessica Fitzgerald from Peamount United on a two-year deal!

The midfielder starred for Peamount United as they secured the 2023 League of Ireland Premier Division title while at just 17 years of age, even picking up the 2023 PFA Ireland Young Player of the Year award that same year.

Now 19, Fitzgerald is a regular for the Republic of Ireland Under-19s and has experience in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. 

Fitzgerald will wear number 8 for Hibernian Women.

On Fitzgerald’s signing, Hibs Women’s Team Manager Grant Scott said: “We’re delighted to have Jess on board with us for the season ahead. She’s a composed, technically gifted midfielder that will offer so much to our team. 

“She is a league-winner in Ireland and has prior experience in the Champions League, and we’re confident her pedigree and experience at such a young age will only enhance our squad.”

After arriving in Leith, Fitzgerald commented: "I'm buzzing to meet all the girls and start playing football here. 

"The team have been doing well at the start of this season, with two wins, so I'm just looking forward to getting going with them as well."
