Three things you should know about Liverpool’s new third kit
Liverpool have confirmed the launch of their third jersey, featuring a predominantly sea green design with white stripes.
On the back is ‘the 97 emblem encased by the eternal flames’ sitting elegantly at the nape of the neck.
Virgil van Dijk, Mohammed Salah, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis McAllister, and others were pictured donning the new kit.
There is also an all-black goalkeeper kit, modelled by men’s first-choice shot-stopper Alisson Becker.
Fans can now order the new third kit at Liverpool’s online store, the LFC Store app and at the club’s stores.

Inspired by previous classic designs
Adidas designed Liverpool’s jersey between 1985-1996 and 2006-2012, meaning this is the third time the company is collaborating with the Merseyside club.
The sportswear manufacturing company has now taken inspiration from the 1990s and early 2000s designs for Liverpool’s third kit.
Return of adidas Originals Trefoil
The kit features the return of Adidas’ iconic three-leaf logo, better known as the Trefoil logo, for the first time in 35 years. It is positioned on the upper front corner of the jersey.
Introduced in 1972, the emblem represents the brand’s heritage and is the trademark of its Originals collection.
When will the jersey be worn for the first time?
Liverpool’s men’s team will debut the new third strip at Burnley on Sunday, while the Women will wear it for the first time when they face Sheffield United in the Women’s League Cup in November 2022.
Liverpool recorded huge success following the unveiling of the home and away kits, with the launching described as the most successful in the club’s history.
The club will be hoping they can repeat the same feat with the new third kit.
