Big Milan revolution with just nine players left from last season
Milan have made considerable changes to their team for the 2025-26 season, keeping just nine players from the previous campaign.
Massimiliano Allegri and Ili Tare have already changed Milan drastically, as the Rossoneri have retained just nine players from the 2024-25 season.
Which players did Milan retain from the 2024-25 season?
Only Mike Maignan, Lorenzo Torriani, Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Matteo Gabbia, Strahinja Pavlović, Christian Pulisic, Rafael Leao and Youssouf Fofana were confirmed after a disappointing 2024-25 season that saw the Rossoneri finish outside a European spot.
Milan did win the Supercoppa Italia last season, but neither Paulo Fonseca nor his successor Sergio Conceiçao collected convincing results, leading to a summer revolution that began in May with the appointments of Tare and Allegri.
Big Milan sales in 2025 summer transfer window
Milan resulted in the highest Serie A spenders in the 2025 summer transfer window, but also made some significant sales, notably those of Theo Hernandez, Tijjani Reijnders, and Malick Thiaw.
Milan started the new season with one win and one defeat in Serie A, against Lecce and Cremonese, respectively.
