Jayson Tatum Ties LeBron James’, Other Stars’ NBA 2K26 Ratings

In the land of make believe, Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum isn’t injured during the 2025-26 campaign and thousands of gamers will dominate with the 27-year-old in NBA 2K26.

Of course, Tatum won’t be lighting up the scoreboard in real life during the upcoming season, as he’s expected to miss most, if not all of the campaign while he recovers from his torn Achilles.

In the gaming world, however, “JT” is still among the best players in the league and on Thursday morning, the legendary video game franchise revealed its top 10 rated players. Tatum was given an overall rating of 94, tying him with Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and San Antonio Spurs All-Star Victor Wembanyama.

The Duke product is the highest-rated Celtics player, ahead of Anfernee Simons (81), Derrick White (87) and Jaylen Brown (90). “JB” is the 22nd-highest rated player in the game.

“Jayson Tatum is the 8th highest rated player in #NBA2K26 at 94 OVR!” the official NBA 2K account posted on X.

Tatum is notably ranked ahead of 15-time All-Star and former MVP Kevin Durant (93). Tatum only trails Minnesota Timberwolves star shooting guard Anthony Edwards (95), Lakers All-Star guard Luka Doncic (95), Milwaukee Bucks two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (97), reigning NBA Finals and regular season MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder (98) and Denver Nuggets three-time MVP Nikola Jokic (98).

NBA 2K26 is set to be released on Sept. 5.
