Roma enquire for Manchester United outcast Malacia
Roma are interested in signing Manchester United full-back Tyrell Malacia, reports from Italy claim, as the Giallorossi enquire for the Dutch defender during ongoing talks to bring Jadon Sancho to the Italian capital.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X, the Giallorossi have made contact for Malacia and the Dutchman himself is keen on a move to Serie A.
Roma have asked the Red Devils about the feasibility of a deal for player, who spent last season on loan with Eredivisie side PSV.
Malacia on fringes at United as Roma plot move
Malacia, 26, joined the Premier League giants in 2022, when he was the first signing of former United boss Erik Ten Hag. Ten Hag, a compatriot of the player, moved ahead of rivals to sign the then-Feyenoord man but his time in the North of England has not quite worked out for him.
After playing 39 times in all competitions in his first season at the club, the Dutchman would go on to suffer an injury which meant he played 0 minutes in the 2023-24 season.
Malacia would then play eight games for United at the start of the 2024-25 season before he was sent on loan to PSV in February.
