Napoli initiate contact for Lens midfielder Diouf; await Sevilla approval for Juanlu
Napoli have set their sights on signing Lens midfielder Andy Diouf, reports from Italy claim, with the two clubs set to meet tomorrow to discuss a possible deal.
According to reports from SkySport this morning, Napoli are keen on the 22-year-old and would be able to sign the Frenchman without first having to make a sale.
Diouf is highly regarded as a talented young midfielder and was part of the French olympic team that claimed the silver medal in Paris last year. In 2022-23, the former Rennes man was also named UEFA Conference League Young Player of the Season and starred in the Team of the Season too.
Napoli await Sevilla green light for Juanlu Sanchez
Another deal in progress for the Neapolitans, the same reports claim that Antonio Conte’s side are only awaiting Sevilla’s green light for the transfer of Juanlu Sanchez.
The player has reportedly stepped up his efforts to convince Sevilla to accept Napoli’s offer, as the Spanish defender wishes to join up with the Scudetto holders. Napoli will not raise their offer above €17 million but the issue in negotiations currently appears to be the percentage of resale that the two clubs cannot agree on.
