Report Vlahovic candidate for Newcastle United as Isak forces exit
Juventus outcast Dusan Vlahovic could potentially be a target for Newcastle United if rebel Alexander Isak gets his way, claims La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Serbia international is down to the last few months of his contract in Turin, which expires in June 2026, and there is no chance of an extension at his €12m per season salary.
Juve are hoping that someone will come in for the striker this summer and prevent him leaving as a free agent at the end of the season.
However, Milan have turned towards Rasmus Hojlund of Manchester United, while the interest in Vlahovic seems to be fairly tepid elsewhere too.
Newcastle United an option for Vlahovic
La Gazzetta dello Sport argue that Newcastle United could take a glance towards him if Isak manages to force through his transfer to Liverpool.
The Sweden international is on strike and refusing to even train with his teammates in Newcastle, let alone play for them in the Premier League.
The Magpies have already looked to Serie A several times recently, with big deals for Sandro Tonali and Malick Thiaw.
Barcelona are another club mentioned by the report, but they already have so many problems registering players with the salary cap in LaLiga that Vlahovic’s contract would tip them over the edge.
