First winner of the Howden Half-time Draw

0 0

SATURDAY saw our first home league match of the season – and the first Howden half-time draw.

Specialist sellers and volunteers from the QPSA could be spotted around The city Stadium pre-match and at half-time with the winning ticket announced on the 67th minute.

While the result may not have gone in the Spiders’ favour one supporter did leave with a smile after landing the prize-pot and Robert Speirs collected his cash from Howden – Glasgow’s local insurance broker – on Tuesday.

Robert had been one of the many guests enjoying hospitality at the Black and White Lounge and picked up his winning ticket at half-time in the east stand.

He headed back to The city Stadium on Tuesday and picked up his prize from draw sponsors

Head of commercial at Queen’s Park Kieran Koszary said: “Thank you to all our sellers and volunteers from the QPSA for helping out on Saturday, it was fantastic to have out 50-50 draw back – it has been an aim on my agenda for a while now and I am delighted to see it in fruition.

“Congratulations too to our winner Robert in what must have been an extra-special day in our hospitality lounge.

“We look forward to celebrating more wins with our supporters – in the draw and on the pitch – in matches to come.

“Thanks too to Howden for their backing of the draw. The company is a valued neighbour on Letherby Drive as well as a fantastic local business, and we are delighted to be working with them.”

Tickets will be on sale at our next match in the William Hill Championship, against Partick Thistle, on September 6.
