Agent says Tottenham are about to make an offer for £30m forward with 14 goals last season
A Turkish international’s agent has now informed his club that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to shortly submit an offer for his client.
Tottenham are rumoured to be keen to strengthen their forward line following Heung-min Son’s departure from the club.
It was reported last year that Tottenham are admirers of Turkish star Baris Alper Yilmaz, who has emerged as one of the biggest superstars of the Super Lig over recent years.
The 25-year-old, who can play across the front three, finished last season with a tally of 14 goals and six assists across all competitions for Galatasaray. It has now emerged that the Lilywhites are ready to substantiate their interest in the forward.

This update comes from Takvim, who say that Tottenham Hotspur are ready to step up their pursuit of the Turkish international.
The report says that Yilmaz’s agent recently held a meeting with the Galatasaray hierarchy and informed them that Tottenham plan to make an offer for his client.
The report does not say how much Spurs’ offer is expected to be worth, but it is revealed that it would take a bid of at least €35m (£30.3m) to prise the forward away from Rams Park.
Two other Premier League clubs circling over Yilmaz
Takvim say that Spurs will face competition for the forward’s signature, with Nottingham Forest also previously lining up an offer for the player.
Additionally, West Ham have also shown interest in Yilmaz, while Inter Milan are monitoring his situation closely.
Last week, Yilmaz was urged to snub West Ham’s approach and join a club like Tottenham by Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk.
