0 4

The Hibees are back in William Hill Premiership action on Sunday as we take on Kilmarnock at Easter Road. Read the full match preview below!

The match kicks off at 3pm, as is the Club’s first home league fixture since turning 150!

THE LOWDOWN

Hibs come into this one in positive spirits after an excellent 2-0 away win in Belgrade against FK Partizan.

A double from Martin Boyle secured the first leg victory, in what was an impressive away European showing.

After the win in Serbia, Gray’s side got straight on a plane and landed into Edinburgh in the early hours of Friday
morning, before preparation for Kilmarnock quickly began.

In the William Hill Premiership Hibs will be looking to build on their opening day victory over Dundee.

Around 3,000 Hibs fans travelled to Dens Park to watch David Gray’s men run out 2-1 winners, thanks to a brace from Kieron Bowie.

Following the opening round of league fixtures Hibs sit second in the league table.

Team News

David Gray provided a positive news update on both Rudi Molotnikov and Joe Newell who are both back on the grass following their respective injuries. It’s unlikely, however, they will make the squad at the weekend.

Nicky Cadden is continuing to recover from the hamstring injury he picked up in the second leg with FC Midtjylland, however, he was back on the grass with the physios earlier this week.

New signing Grant Hanley was in the match day squad against FK Partizan but will get extra fitness in his legs before this weekend.

THE VISITORS

Kilmarnock started off their 2025/26 William Hill Premiership campaign with a draw against Livingston.

Stuart Kettlewell’s side were 2-0 ahead before George Stanger saw red in the 65th minute. The match finished 2-2, with Djenairo Daniels and David Watson scoring for Killie.

They had a positive Premier Sports Cup group stage campaign leading into the start of league football. They beat Brora Rangers, Livingston, and East Fife, and drew 0-0 with Kelly Hearts (losing 4-3 on penalties).
