Exclusive: Napoli hand Raspadori to Atletico Madrid for 26m
Napoli have accepted the latest Atletico Madrid proposal for Giacomo Raspadori, as exclusively confirmed for €22m plus €4m in fairly easy to achieve add-ons.
The Partenopei had been hoping to get a solidarity payment too and boost it closer to €30m, but ultimately decided to take this fee.
Precise figures for Raspadori agreement
As Football Italia already exclusively reported earlier today, it is a fixed figure of €22m, plus €3m if Atletico Madrid qualify for the Champions League, and a further €1m in easy to achieve bonuses.
That takes the total to €26m for the Italy international.
He will fly out for a medical and then sign the five-year contract with the Spanish club.
Napoli had paid €28m to purchase Raspadori outright from Sassuolo in 2023, after an initial €5m one-season loan experience.
He helped them to win two Serie A titles, scoring 18 goals and providing 10 assists in 109 competitive games for the club, very few of them in the starting XI.
Raspadori becomes the second Italy international to join Atletico Madrid this summer after Matteo Ruggeri from Atalanta.
