Fabrizio Romano reveals what he knows about Tottenham’s interest in Nicolas Jackson

0 3

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Nicolas Jackson, who registered 15 goal contributions in the Premier League last term, is on Tottenham’s radar, but the Lilywhites will only make a move for him under one condition.

While there was a sense of excitement and anticipation ahead of the new season at Spurs, some of that was quashed by the lacklustre performance that the Lilywhites delivered against Bayern Munich yesterday.

Tottenham were on the receiving end of a 4-0 drubbing at the Allianz Arena, less than a week before their Super Cup clash against PSG, with the performance exposing many of the Premier League side’s weaknesses.

Spurs fans are understandably desperate to see some ambitious signings, and it has now been suggested that Tottenham Hotspur are considering raiding their London rivals for a big-money striker.

Tottenham could move for Nicolas Jackson under one condition

It has now been revealed by Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel that Tottenham are considering a sensational move for Nicolas Jackson this summer.

Jackson, who scored 13 goals and six assists across all competitions for the Blues last season, is thought to be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

However, Romano revealed that Tottenham will only make a move for the 24-year-old if Richarlison departs the club this summer.

The Italian journalist also took to social media to provide an update on Jackson’s future, revealing that Newcastle are also circling over the striker, while several Serie A clubs have also made contact over his availability.

Tottenham will have to break the bank for Nicholas Jackson

It is clear that the former Villarreal man will not come cheap, with Spurs having to break their transfer record to sign the player.

Romano says in his YouTube video that it would take an offer of at least £80m to lure Jackson away from Chelsea.

Such a price would break Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer record, with the likes of Dominic Solanke and Tanguy Ndombele falling within the £60m-£65m range.
