Tottenham half-time ratings vs Bayern Munich as 5/10 forward struggles to compete

0 1

The half-time whistle has blown between Tottenham and Bayern Munich in Thomas Frank’s final pre-season match, and the player ratings are in.

Tottenham half-time player ratings vs Bayern Munich

Guglielmo Vicario – There was nothing Vicario could do to prevent Kane’s goal, as the Englishman’s goal was well taken. The Italian, however, has made some brilliant stops. 6.

Pedro Porro – The Spaniard has barely had a chance to go forward, as he has been busy defending against Luiz Diaz, and so far, has kept him quiet. 7.

Cristian Romero – The Argentine has picked up the captain’s armband for this one in the absence of Heung-min Son, who has now departed Tottenham. The defence, though, has been under pressure in the opening half, but Romero looked to remind Kane of his presence by clattering into him. 5.

Micky Van de Ven – The Dutchman was made to sit on the ground for Bayern’s opener as Kane twisted and turned after beating Tottenham’s defensive line. 5.

Djed Spence – Bayern’s pressure has kept Tottenham’s full-backs pinned back, and on the left, it is no different, as Spence has been staying tight on Coman. 6.

Joao Palhinha – Not the greatest of starts from new signing Palhinha, who gave away a penalty early on in the first half, only for Kane to miss. Has had a few good moments where he has made some tackles. 6.

Rodrigo Bentancur – The Uruguayan has been given a more advanced role despite lining up as a pivot. Has looked to drive the ball forward from deep, and it was his pass that led to Richarlison’s shot. 7.

Mohammed Kudus – Tottenham have had to do loads of defending in the opening forty-five, and Kudus’ defensive work rate has been put to the test. The Ghana international has stepped up in that regard, often helping Porro with Luiz Diaz. 7.

Pape Matar Sarr – The quality of the opponent means that Sarr’s influence has been greatly reduced in that ten position. The midfielder has barely had an impact in the final third so far. 6.

Brennan Johnson – The Welshman, just like Kudus, has had to help out defensively on the left, as he occupies Heung-min Son’s position. Nothing yet in the final third. 5.

Richarlison – Chances have been few and far between for the Brazilian as Tottenham have struggled to create any clear-cut chances. He did manage a shot from range, but it lacked the power to beat Neuer. A number is desperately needed. 5.
