0 1

Hibernian Under-19s travel to face Motherwell on Tuesday (5 August) afternoon in their first away match of the 2025/26 CAS Elite Youth League campaign.

The wee Hibees' encounter with the 'Well was postponed from Monday (4 August) due to weather warnings across the country.

The rescheduled fixture will now take place on Tuesday 5 August at Dalziel Park, with kick-off set for 2pm.

Fixtures

  • Motherwell U19s Vs. Hibernian U19s - Mon, Aug 4th 2025, 13:34

The Lowdown

Darren McGregor's outfit head into the match in high spirits following a strong performance on the opening day against Kilmarnock.

The visitors greeted our 2024/25 league champions onto the pitch with a guard of honour before battling it out in balmy conditions at HTC.

Zach Bruce opened the scoring before Logan Jimenez nabbed a brace as the Hibees ran out comfortable 3-0 winners on home turf.

The winning start sees Hibs reside in second-place - with only St Mirren, who occupy top spot, enjoying a larger margin of victory on matchday one.

The Hosts

Motherwell finished seventh in the 2024/25 CAS Elite Youth League table, placing best in the Bottom Five section of the standings.

The North Lanarkshire side beat out Celtic and local rivals Hamilton Academical to the position after narrowly missing out on a Top Six spot.

Our hosts lost both meetings against the Hibees last season, each by a three goal margin.

A 5-2 victory at Dalziel Park in August, with goals from Josh Landers, Dean Cleland, Jamie McMurdo and Luke Davidson, continued the Hibees' unbeaten start to their league-winning campaign.

Hibs would win the the reverse fixture 3-0 in early December as Landers, Cleland and Jimenez all got on the scoresheet at HTC amidst stormy conditions.

How To Watch

Kick-off is at 2pm on Tuesday 5 August at Dalziel Park, Motherwell.

Supporters from both clubs are welcome to come and watch the action free of charge!
