THE LOWDOWN
We begin the 2025/26 domestic campaign with a trip to Den’s Park; kick-off at 3pm on Sunday 3 August.
The Hibees will be looking to build on our impressive end to the previous campaign, which saw us climb from the bottom of the table in December 2024 to third place come the end of the season.
Over the summer, we have kept the bulk of our squad from last year, whilst adding new additions of Jamie McGrath, Josh Mulligan, Raphael Sallinger and Thibault Klidjé.
David Gray’s side suffered last-minute heartbreak in the Europa League qualifiers on Thursday night, conceding in the final minute of extra-time against FC Midtjylland – knocking us down to the UEFA Conference League qualifiers. Gray will be hoping to take the positives from those performances in Europe and get back to winning ways on Sunday.
TEAM NEWS
Lewis Miller, Rudi Molotnikov and Joe Newell all missed our European tie on Thursday night and it is unlikely they will feature at the weekend.
Nicky Cadden is being closely monitored ahead of the match, after coming off in midweek as a precaution.
THE HOSTS
Dundee finished 10th in the William Hill Premiership last season, with 41 points after 38 games.
Now under the management of Steven Pressley, The Dee have had a poor start to this current campaign after failing to progress out of the Premier Sports Cup Group Stages.
Dundee lost their first two matches of the competition to Airdrieonians (0-1) and Alloa (1-0) before beating Bonnyrigg Rose (1-3) and Montrose (5-0) in their final two matches.
We played Dundee three times last season, picking up four points out of a possible nine. All of those points came at Easter Road, drawing 2-2 in August 2024 and winning 4-0 in April – but we were beaten (4-1) on our last visit to Dens Park back in November.
