Dorgu: We need Hojlund to deliver the goals

Manchester United have been linked with a whole host of strikers this summer, with Benjamin Sesko and Ollie Watkins reportedly at the top of the preferred list.

Rasmus Hojlund will understandably feel threatened, given the poor second season he endured at the club, scoring just four goals in the league.

However, he was on the scoresheet in our 4-1 win over Bournemouth in our most recent pre-season game and compatriot Patrick Dorgu has discussed

He’s doing really well. He looks sharp, he looks fit and I’m very happy for Rasmus to get his goal. It was a difficult season for Rasmus. Not only for him, but for everyone, so I think this season is really important for him and for the team to get back to where we have to be in the league.

We need a striker to deliver on the pitch, so that’s why he was happy. We talk in training, we try to understand each other on the pitch, for me to know where he is in the box and what movements he likes. He needs confidence, everyone needs confidence and a goal always helps with that.
