Bielik (15 replies)

I like Bielik but I think his time at the club is up.

I will always appreciate him being our captain and giving us his best efforts but I think he will move on.

He was a great prospect when he came on loan to us the first time but unfortunately injuries have robbed him of his potential.

Still somehow only 27 his legs have gone due to injury. Trying to play in midfield the season we went down showed his obvious physical limitations and now with the way we play we need more mobile centre backs.

He had back to back ligament injuries with Derby. At Derby in 3 years he managed 48 league games out of a possible 138.

With us 103 out of 138. That means in the last 6 seasons of his career he has managed 151 league games out of 276.

It’s a real shame how he has turned out with injuries, I really believe he was destined to be a premier league level centre back. He always gave us 100% and seemed to be one of the only players that cared when we got relegated.

I just think with this new era the owners will be ruthless and Bielik has a lot of things stacked against him.

I’ll always respect Krystian’s effort. One i’ll be sad to go but one where I feel unfortunately it makes sense.
