Thomas Frank confirms Tottenham’s plan for Mikey Moore amid Rangers interest
Thomas Frank has delivered an update on Mikey Moore’s loan plans as Tottenham prepare to sanction a summer move.
One of Tottenham Hotspur’s brightest talents, Mikey Moore, looks loan-bound this summer following interest from sides in the Championship and the Scottish league.
Moore has featured 21 times in Tottenham’s first team squad since making his debut back in October 2024, but it is understood that the teenager is in search of more game time at the senior level, which has opened the door to a temporary switch elsewhere.
Rangers are reported to have emerged as frontrunners for Moore, with the teenager expected to secure a move to the side vying for a Champions League spot next season, a move that would offer him a valuable step up in terms of competitive experience.
Moore absent from Spurs tour as he searches for loan move
Moore has not travelled with the Tottenham squad for their tour of Asia, despite featuring in the ties against Reading and Luton Town.
Spurs revealed that he was left behind so he could work towards securing a loan move this summer.
With Tottenham stacked with options out wide and in the number ten position, it certainly is the best decision for the youngster to head elsewhere to gain valuable first-team experience.
Thomas Frank confirms Tottenham’s loan stance on Mikey Moore
Thomas Frank has now addressed Mikey Moore’s loan in his recent press conference ahead of the Arsenal game in Hong Kong.
The Dane has stated that it is very important for Moore to be loaned out this summer and acknowledged that he is a big talent for Tottenham, one that he is excited about and eager to see develop properly.
Frank also revealed that if the right option presents itself, then Tottenham would loan Moore.
He said (football.london): “It is very important. Mikey is a big talent. I am really excited about his future here at Tottenham. I think for all players, but especially younger players, they need consistent first-team football into their bodies. I think if we can find the right option, we will do that.”
