Donnarumma speculation growing with Galatasaray offer ready
Reports are growing rapidly that Galatasaray will make a formal offer to Paris Saint-Germain for Gianluigi Donnarumma, as the Italy international’s entourage seek his next club.
The departure seems increasingly inevitable because his contract is due to expire at the end of this season and they are still nowhere close to an agreement for an extension.
PSG are determined to change the structure of the contract to limit a third of his salary to bonuses based on the number of games he plays during the season, which the player and his agents are steadfastly against.
They fear this is trying to set up another situation where Donnarumma has to share the gloves with his understudy, just as he had become the undisputed first choice last term.
Donnarumma targeted by many clubs
Galatasaray are certainly looking for a high class goalkeeper, having already made proposals to Milan’s Mike Maignan, Yann Sommer at Inter and Manchester City man Ederson, so Donnarumma would fit the bill.
His current wages come to €12m per season and that would be very difficult for an Italian team like Inter or Juventus to match.
Premier League sides are also interested, including Chelsea and Manchester United, so today’s reports suggest Donnarumma’s agents are now actively sending out feelers to see who is ready to make an offer.
