Patriots Tease New Uniforms As Part Of NFL Initiative
The New England Patriots will soon have a new look.
It’s not replacing any of their current options, though.
The NFL and Nike are partnering on a new uniform initiative called “Rivalries” that will see eight teams wear new uniforms with designs based off their individual communities during a single home game against a division rival. The AFC East and NFC West were the first divisions selected for the four-year experiment.
It’s a money grab, if we’re all being real with each other, but at least that means we get something new to watch.
The Patriots hyped up their new uniform on Friday, posting a pair of teaser videos to social media that featured their white jersey evaporating into water. New England will wear the uniform on November 13 against the New York Jets.
Nike will unveil the first set of uniforms — along with matching shirts, hoodies, jackets and headwear — on August 28.
