Done Deal: Walukiewicz leaving Torino for Sassuolo transfer
Poland international Sebastian Walukiewicz has left the Torino training camp to complete his transfer to Sassuolo.
According to multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia, the central defender already started his journey from the Trentino pre-season base.
He is set to undergo a medical and then sign the contract for the transfer to Sassuolo.
Terms for Walukiewicz move to Sassuolo
This is expected to be a loan deal with option to buy at the end of the season, the contract agreed until June 2029 in case of activation.
According to CanaleSassuolo.it, Sassuolo would be paying €1m for the loan and a further €6-7m for the purchase option.
He had also been linked with newly-promoted Cremonese this summer.
The 25-year-old defender has been in Italy since 2019 for Cagliari, then after a spell with Empoli he was sold to Torino last summer for €4.7m.
Walukiewicz has amassed 109 Serie A appearances and six in the Coppa Italia, but Torino decided not to keep him after just one year with the Granata jersey.
