Inter become third Serie A club to pursue Xhaka this summer

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Granit Xhaka is a new Inter target to replace Hakan Calhanoglu.

Inter are looking for a potential Calhanoglu replacement, and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Xhaka has emerged as the latest target on the black and blue side of San Siro.

Xhaka has already been linked with Inter’s domestic rivals Milan and Juventus this summer.

According to the report, Inter are considering replacing Calhanoglu with a player who has equal experience and desire to win as Calhanoglu.

Atalanta star Ederson is also an Inter target, but his €60m price tag makes him much more expensive than Xhaka, who could leave Leverkusen for a fee between €12m and €15m.

Inter, however, will only hold talks with possible Calhanoglu replacements if the Turkish star joins Galatasaray.

As of today, Gala have not approached Inter with a formal offer, and the Nerazzurri remain willing to sell the 31-year-old only for offers exceeding €25m.
