0 9

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract with the French outfit, and they have not been able to secure a contract extension with him yet. Naturally, multiple clubs are keeping tabs on his situation. According to a report from L’Equipe, the two Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation.

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea or Manchester United come forward with an offer for the Italian International. He would be an exceptional acquisition for them. They are in desperate need of a reliable goalkeeper.

Chelsea and Man United need a new goalkeeper

Robert Sanchez has been underwhelming, and Chelsea wanted to replace him. He has not been able to live up to the expectations since joining Chelsea from Brighton.

On the other hand, Manchester United are stuck with Andre Onana, who has been quite error-prone. He has cost his team valuable points last season, and Manchester United need an upgrade if they are serious about fighting for trophies.

Donnarumma is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in the world right now, and he was outstanding for PSG last season. He helped them win the league title and the UEFA Champions League.

He would be a massive upgrade on the current options at Chelsea and Manchester United. Both clubs have the resources to get the deal done, and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops. PSG are unwilling to let him leave, and they will do everything in their power to tie him down to a new deal. It remains to be seen what the player decides.

He has already proven himself in France, and he could be open to a new challenge. Moving to the Premier League could be an exciting opportunity.
