Alberto Costa wants Sporting, as Juventus ask after Hjulmand
The exclusive from Thursday is confirmed, as Sporting CP have offered €20m for Alberto Costa and the Juventus full-back is enthusiastic about the move, with Morten Hjulmand discussed too.
As Football Italia reported earlier this week, Sporting Lisbon have set their sights firmly on Alberto Costa and want to bring him back to Portugal just six months after his transfer from Vitoria Guimaraes.
That was officially for €12.5m over four instalments, plus add-ons not exceeding €2.5m, along with a further €1.3m in auxiliary costs.
Alberto Costa eager for Sporting transfer
The 21-year-old has made 14 competitive appearances in the Juventus jersey, providing three assists, but only seven of those were in the starting XI.
With the promise of more regular playing time in his home country, Alberto Costa is eager to make the move to Sporting.
The €20m proposal is so far not enough, but could be pushed over the top with the addition of some performance-related bonuses.
At the same time, we can also confirm that Juve asked Sporting for information on midfielder Hjulmand as part of those negotiations.
