Man Utd receive £12.9m offer for flop forward, nearly 50% below asking price

Manchester United are yet to make headway in offloading several fringe players ahead of the new season.

Jadon Sancho remains one of the most high-profile names on the chopping block, with his future at Old Trafford all but over.

According to reputed journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus have made an offer of €10 million (£8.6m) plus €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons for Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils value the England international at around £25 million.

Sancho is in the final year of his deal at Old Trafford, which may force United to lower their asking price.

Sancho spent the 2024–25 campaign on loan at Chelsea, but a change of scenery failed to reignite his career.

He scored merely three goals and registered five assists in 31 Premier League games with the West Londoners.

Chelsea were obligated to sign him permanently but did not want to meet Sancho’s outrageous wage demands.

They paid a £5m penalty to United before sending the player back to Old Trafford.

Sancho’s £250,000-a-week wages remain the biggest stumbling block to any potential deal.

Juventus have made it clear that the forward must accept a pay cut if he wants to move to the Allianz Stadium.

If United can avoid paying a severance fee and offload his salary burden, accepting Juventus’ bid might be their best option.

Sancho has been given additional time off and has not been asked to return to team training under manager Ruben Amorim.

Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia have all received similar instructions as part of the club’s summer clear-out strategy.
