Report Tagliafico offered himself to Roma as free agent
There are suggestions that Argentina international Nicolas Tagliafico offered himself to Roma as a free agent, though there is also interest from Sevilla.
The defender will turn 33 next month and is available after his contract with Olympique Lyonnais was allowed to expire.
Tagliafico on the Roma radar
According to Calciomercato.com and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tagliafico is looking for a challenging new experience in his career and his entourage proposed him to Roma.
He knows the Giallorossi are looking for new defenders following the arrival of coach Gian Piero Gasperini, who will consolidate the tactics of using three at the back.
Options for them include Jhon Lucumi of Bologna and West Ham United’s Kostantinos Mavropanos.
Tagliafico would bring valuable experience to the defence, but the issue could be around his salary demands, having earned €2.5m per season net at Lyon last term.
His previous clubs include Banfield, Real Murcia, Independiente and Ajax, while there have been reports of interest from Sevilla this summer.
