Turkish report Amrabat in talks for 20m Atalanta transfer
Turkish site Fanatik claim that Atalanta are in advanced negotiations with Fenerbahce to purchase Sofyan Amrabat with a €20m asking price.
La Dea are looking for a new midfielder to fit with coach Ivan Juric’s vision, especially as Ederson would appear to be on his way out of the club.
Amrabat eager for return to Serie A
According to the Turkish sources, a new main target is going to be Amrabat, who is no stranger to Serie A or Juric.
He already worked with the coach at Hellas Verona, who he joined from Club Brugge in 2019, then moved on to Fiorentina.
The Morocco international was loaned to Manchester United for €10m in 2023, but they did not take up their option to make it permanent.
Fenerbahce just purchased Amrabat outright for a total of €14m following an initial loan period.
Their director of sport Devin Ozek is set to meet with Atalanta figures in Italy to discuss the terms, but the €20m Fenerbahce asking price is considered excessive.
