Liverpool Could Win The Quadruple This Season
So far, it has been somewhat of a productive pre-season for Liverpool. As most successful clubs tend to do, they have completed some of their most important transfer activity early.
However, you could say, they got two of their most important pieces of business done prior to the end of the season, with key players, Virgil Van Dijk and of course, Mohamed Salah, both signing new contracts.
While it was inevitable that Trent Alexander-Arnold would go to Real Madrid following the end of his contract, tying down these two players were seen as essential.
Key Players Recruited
A deal for Jeremie Frimpong was quickly completed, joining from Bayer Leverkusen for what will turn out to be a bargain at a shade under £30 million – a direct and, probably a more effective replacement for Alexander-Arnold.
His fellow teammate at Bayer Leverkusen, Florian Wirtz quickly followed in a deal that broke the British transfer record at around £115 million in initial fees.
Since then, things have gone quiet, though the club still remain interested in a centre-back indeed – links to Crystal Palace centre-back, Marc Guehi still persist. Following Jarrell Quansah’s move to Leverkusen for a stunning £35 million, a replacement is seemingly wanted.
Meanwhile, a striker certainly appears to be a priority as well, with Darwin Nunez appearing to be surplus to requirements – it seems the club are waiting for potential suitors, Napoli to meet their £70 million asking price.
After the tragic death of Diogo Jota, it is hardly surprising that things have stalled to a halt and while noone can replace him, it has made the club light in attack. Especially if Luis Diaz leaves as well, with the Colombian being linked away.

Already bookmakers will be pricing up odds for a possible (and unprecedented) push for the quadruple, though many could well be waiting until the club completes their business (or at least just before the new seasons begins).
Though, while the odds might come out before then, you can always have a Round the clock Bet, where you can differentiate your selections and get creative, with an instant bet calculator as well.
Invariably as the season progresses, the odds will likely change, while you could even hedge your selections as well by choosing other clubs that could be in with a chance.
If Liverpool make a few more signings then the possibility of a quadruple couldn’t be ruled out. However, this has never been achieved – even when Manchester City were at their strongest they could only manage a treble – still an incredible feat and not achieved since Manchester United did it in the 1998/99 season. Even a Premier League and Champions League double (again, something United have achieved) would be the signs of a superb season.
For now, the jury is definitely out, though there is still a long way to go until the transfer window closes and it is very likely that Liverpool will bring a few more through the door before it does. A club that has a reputation for achieving the “impossible” over the last couple of decades – a quadruple could well materialise into a distinct possibility. It would certainly make a fitting tribute for Jota.
