Milan launch €15m offer for Chelsea and Sunderland target Doue
Reports in Italy confirm that Milan have lodged a formal offer with Ligue 1 side Strasbourg for right-back Guela Doue, who is also of interest to the likes of Chelsea, Sunderland and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Milan lodge formal bid for Doue
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport and l’Equipe, Milan have tabled an offer worth €15m for Doue, the older brother of Paris Saint-Germain winger Desire Doue.
Strasbourg, meanwhile, value the right-back in the region of €20m. That is despite the fact that they signed him for just €6.5m plus bonuses from Rennes last summer.
Milan are on the lookout for a new right-back after the end of Kyle Walker’s loan spell in San Siro.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Doue would serve as an option to rotate with Alex Jimenez at right-back under Massimiliano Allegri. The Frenchman is considered more defensively sound than the forward-minded Spaniard.
Emerson Royal, meanwhile, remains out of favour at Milan, despite their change in head coaches.
