Milan eye ambitious move for Dortmund striker Guirassy; Mitrovic the alternative
Milan are considering a move for Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy, despite reports the Bundesliga side want €70 million for the Guinea international.
Reports from the Corriere dello Sport, via TMW, suggest that Milan sporting director Igli Tare has identified the former Stuttgart player as the club’s ideal attacking reinforcement, as the Rossoneri look to put a disappointing 2024-25 campaign behind them.
Proven goalscorer Guirassy perfect complement for Gimenez
Milan want additional offensive options to provide a high-level alternative to Santiago Gimenez – or a player who can play alongside him.
Guirassy signed for Dortmund just last year for approximately €18 million from fellow Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart.
However, a strong 2024-25 season has seen the Guinean’s price sky-rocket. The 29-year-old scored 21 goals in 30 Bundesliga appearances, whilst also finishing as the joint-top scorer in the Champions League – with 13 goals.
The price tag may prove decisive in Milan’s pursuit, however, with Al-Hilal forward Aleksandar Mitrovic named by Corriere dello Sport as a lower cost alternative to the Dortmund man.
