Milan and Parma consider swapping teenage Italy talents

0 13

Reports on Thursday suggest that Milan and Parma could look to negotiate a player exchange deal involving 18-year-old Italy talents Mattia Liberali and Giovanni Leoni.

18-year-old Liberali is into the final year of his current contract with Milan, expiring in the summer of 2026, and while there could still be an opportunity to extend, Parma are reportedly pushing to secure his services.

Though highly-rated, the 18-year-old Rossoneri talent was given just one singular first-team opportunity in 2024-25, in a 62-minute appearance in a 0-0 draw with Genoa in Serie A back in December.

A move to Parma could guarantee him more regular minutes and opportunities in the top flight.

Reports Milan want to swap Liberali and Leoni with Parma

Meanwhile, Milan are among the clubs hopeful of securing a deal for 18-year-old Parma defender Leoni, who has also been linked with Inter, Juventus and most recently Liverpool in the Premier League.

Rossoneri sporting director Igli Tare is said to be a particularly big fan of Leoni, and reports from Calciomercato.com suggest that the teenager is right at the top of Milan’s defensive wishlist this summer.

Calciomercato adds that Tare’s vision is to send Liberali to Parma and bring Leoni to Milan in a potential player-exchange deal.
