Tottenham striker target taken off the table along with Antoine Semenyo
Tottenham Hotspur are about to taste defeat in their pursuit of a prolific striker, just 24 hours after Antoine Semenyo seemingly took himself off the market too.
A rejig of Tottenham’s forward line appears to be on the cards this summer, with reports indicating that Thomas Frank has given Tottenham the go-ahead to sell Richarlison.
If the Brazilian does leave, Spurs will almost certainly enter the market for another striker. The club have already missed out on one of Frank’s top targets, with Bryan Mbeumo snubbing Tottenham in favour of a switch to Man United.
Last week, it was claimed that Spurs had reignited their interest in Jonathan David, who will be leaving Lille on a free transfer after his contract ran out, but the Lilywhites are now about to miss out on the Canadian international as well.
This comes just 24 hours after Tottenham target Antoine Semenyo signed a new Bournemouth contract, effectively taking him off the table for Spurs this summer.
Fabrizio Romano provides huge Jonathan David transfer update
Fabrizio Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Juventus are close to announcing an agreement with David.
He claims that the Bianconeri have sent a new contract offer to the striker earlier this week, before reaching an agreement on terms on Tuesday night.
The journalist even gave the deal his famous ‘here we go’, taking another Tottenham Hotspur target off the market this summer.
David to Juventus may open the door for Tottenham to sign Kolo Muani
Last week, it was reported by TBR Football that Tottenham remain interested in PSG star Randal Kolo Munai after failing to land him back in January.
The outlet explained that the Frenchman’s preference was to make a permanent switch to Turin following his loan spell at the club, but added that Spurs are ready to pounce if Juve are not able to agree a deal.
If Igor Tudor’s men are pushing ahead with a move for David instead, that could clear the path for the Premier League side to land Kolo Muani.
