Lecce drop transfer hint for Leeds target Krstovic and welcome Camarda
Lecce director Pantaleo Corvino confirms Nikola Krstovic ‘may want to take the next step’ but welcomes Francesco Camarda from Milan: ‘We believe in what he can bring us.’
Lecce unveiled their new coach, Eusebio Di Francesco, on Tuesday, and the Giallorossi director Corvino also spoke about the club’s transfer strategies during his meeting with the media.
Leeds United reportedly sent an offer for Krstovic last week, and Corvino admitted that the Montenegro international could be tempted to leave this summer.

“We’ll try to take into account a cycle that, in many ways and for many players, may be over,” Corvino said via SOSFanta.
“I’m talking about players who have helped us achieve extraordinarily important goals over the last three years. Falcone, Baschirotto, Ramadani and Krstovic. They may also have their reasons for saying that Lecce allowed them to prove themselves, and now they want to take the next step.
“We cannot ignore their wishes, so we can only replace them once they leave. If we have an important player considering leaving, we must wait to see what happens to replace them. This makes our transfer market more difficult, not easier.”
Corvino publicly confirmed that Lecce will welcome Milan talent Camarda, who is set to join the Salentini on loan with an option to buy and a buy-back option for the Rossoneri.

“Quality has no age. There’s potential in a department where we already have a player [Krstovic] who scored 12 goals and provided six assists. We believe in what this player can bring us,” Corvino said.
Camarda became the youngest Serie A debutant at 15 years and 260 days in 2023, while in 2024-25 he became the youngest Italian debutant in the Champions League at 16 years and 226 days.
The promising Italian striker has yet to score his first goal at a senior level with Milan, but he netted seven times in 20 appearances with Milan Futuro during the 2024-25 season.
