Wilyer Abreu Electric With Two Home Runs In Red Sox Win

The Red Sox won the first game in a series against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night thanks to an offensive explosion that began in the first inning.

On top of Garrett Crochet’s dominant nine strikeout performance, three members of the Red Sox hit home runs in a fourteen hit, thirteen run game where all nine starting players had a hit.

Trevor Story and Jarren Duran hit home runs, but the real story of the night was Wilyer Abreu, who hit an inside-the-park solo home run in the fifth inning and a grand slam in the eighth. The Red Sox would take the first game of the series against the Reds 13-6.
