Academy Player Update
It’s been a busy time of year for the Darts Academy, with some players offered new contracts, others getting the nod to train with the first team and a few, leaving for pastures new.
From this year’s cohort, Jeremiah Pinder and Dean Nayler have signed new contracts, while Joe Kpaka has been retained.
Albie O’Mara-Knapp, who has also just graduated from the Academy, has been asked to train with the first team over pre-season.
Sadly, it’s time to say a fond farewell to Ashdon Day, Blu Husthwaite and Josh Atkinson who have been released by the Club in order to find more game time, with the players either already finding a new club or Dartford FC assisting them in doing so, where possible.
Meanwhile, Richie Atkins and Hugo Taylor – who will be beginning their third-year in September – have been asked to train with the first team during pre-season.
Joining them is Victor Anjorin, who featured for the Whites at the end of the season and will going into the second year of the Academy this September. He has also been asked to train with the first team during pre-season.
All at DFC would like to thank the leavers for all their hard work over the years and wish them the very best for the future.
The Club would also like to congratulate all the other players and hope they take the opportunities presented to them and wish them luck in their hopes of becoming regular fixtures in the first team alongside the likes of George Whitefield, Olly Box and Sam Odaudu, who trod a similar path before them.
