Queen’s Park confirm club captain for 2025-26

0 26

SEAN CRIGHTON has confirmed his Queen’s Park FC first-team captain and vice captain for the coming season.

The head-coach has appointed Euan Murray who will wear the armband for the 2025-26 campaign.

Our new defender will lead the team out for the first time in this evening’s friendly with Annan Athletic at The city Stadium.

Euan will be deputised by a vice-captain while a senior players committee will also liaise with first-team management under the new structure at Lochinch.

Taking the vice captain role will be Charlie Fox – back at the club for a FIFTH season after renewing his contract last week.

Euan Murray and Charlie Fox will lead the Spiders this season

Sean Crighton said: “When I brought Euan Murray in he was he was the type I wanted to be a leader. He is one on the pitch, and off it.

“Making him captain was imperative to signing him and he has embraced it already. He is totally on board with what we are aiming for this season.

“Charlie Fox also brings leadership with his character and his role as vice-captain gives him bigger responsibility within the group.

“He’s been at this club a while now and as I have mentioned regularly, continuity is important and Charlie brings that to the captaincy group.

“As well as the captains, I have also assembled a senior players committee with several of the experienced players within the dressing room who will meet regularly with the captains, myself and Jim Duffy.

“It’s important for the players that the dialogue is there with all of them.

“There’s been a lot for me to put in place and this was another aspect I wanted to bring to the role.

“I hope and believe they will all bring really strong leadership to the group and I’m really happy with the decisions and how the players have received them.”
