Eli Manning Attacks Tom Brady As ‘Chaos’ Unfolds At Fanatics Fest
The rivalry between Tom Brady and Eli Manning will always live on, and it was front and center at Fanatics Fest in New York City on Friday.
Brady came out to Cody Rhodes’ theme in a WWE-style walkout, spitting and stomping on a New York Jets jersey, followed by him ripping a Manning jersey in two. Manning then ran out, jumping on Brady’s back and tackling him.
While they appeared serious at first, the two legendary quarterbacks couldn’t keep the smiles off their faces, laughing as they walked off.
The rivalry stems from Brady and Manning’s two Super Bowl matchups, where the New York Giants ultimately came out on top. Specifically, in 2008, Manning ended the Patriots’ perfect season, leaving them without a championship after an undefeated year. And then in 2012, Manning led a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter to hand New York a second victory over New England in the NFL’s biggest game.
Even in retirement, the two take every opportunity to poke fun at each other.
Last year at Fan Fest, Brady and Manning also crossed paths. Brady was autographing numerous of his Tampa Bay Buccaneers jerseys when he realized that a Manning jersey had been mixed in with his. But, he took full advantage of this opportunity.
“(Expletive) you,” Brady wrote on the jersey.
Manning then received the jersey with Brady’s message and responded.
“Good game,” Manning wrote back.
These two just can’t help themselves and it’s very fun to watch!
