Man Utd could receive £21.5m transfer boost after 'important' proposal from Italy

0 7

Manchester United have been handed a timely boost in their bid to offload one of the club’s most disappointing signings.

According to Marco Giordano, Juventus have made an important proposal of €25 million (for £21.5m) for Jadon Sancho.

The Italian giants are looking to rejuvenate their forward line and see Sancho as a potential summer bargain.

Despite spending last season on loan at Chelsea, the 25-year-old failed to rediscover the spark that once made him one of Europe’s most exciting young winger.

Chelsea explored the option of a permanent transfer but were instantly put off by Sancho’s refusal to take a pay cut.

The Englishman is currently raking in a staggering £250,000 per week, a figure few clubs are willing to match.

His astronomical wage packet remains the biggest stumbling block in securing a move away from Old Trafford.

Napoli also showed initial interest, but are shifting focus to more financially viable targets.

Signing Sancho is one of the worst mistakes United have ever made in their history.

The forward has no future at Old Trafford and has often targeted the club with his off-field antics.

Once hailed as a generational talent, Sancho’s dramatic decline serves as a cautionary tale for young stars who believe the hype too early.

With just one year remaining on his deal, the winger could dig in and leave for free next summer.

By doing so, he would likely secure a hefty signing-on bonus elsewhere, rather than sacrifice his current wages.

He is clearly prioritising finances even as his career has hit rock bottom.

From United’s perspective, they must accept any bid around £20m to get a player like Sancho off their books.
