VA Hero Of The Week: WooSox Win Club-Record Eight Straight Home Games

After defeating the Buffalo Bisons 5-4, the Worcester Red Sox extended their home-winning streak to a club-record eight straight games.

Wilyer Abreau went 1-4 in the game and picked up an RBI single in the fifth inning during his first rehab outing in Worcester. Richard Fitts threw five-scoreless innings with three strikeouts to help boost the WooSox to win on Tuesday night.

Worcester has now won 11 of their past 14 games as they improve to 38-31 on the season, and will send Tanner Houck to the mound on Wednesday night for his first rehab outing as they look to extend their home-winning streak to nine straight games.
