Queen’s Park FC secure deal for return of Charlie Fox
QUEEN’S PARK FC is delighted to confirm the return of popular defender Charlie Fox to the club for season 2025-26.
has agreed a contract extension to stay with the Spiders after reaching the end of his deal in May.
Charlie arrived in the southside four years ago after spells with Queen’s Park Rangers, Wycombe and Bromley.
Despite Fox missing most of last season through injury, new head-coach Sean Crighton was determined to bring the Englishman back to the club for his first spell in charge.
He told queensparkfc.co.uk: “Charlie was one player I’ve been very keen to bring on board for the new season.
“He had his injury last year but I saw him every day working hard to ensure he returned to fitness and we managed to get him there for the last game of the season against Raith Rovers.
“He is the type of character I want in my squad and he was keen to stay which was important for me. I am absolutely delighted he has signed up for the new season and he’s another example of the continuity at the club I keep mentioning.
“Charlie looks after himself and no-one will ever question his commitment, fitness levels or the shape he’s in – he’s come back in great condition and I’m delighted.
“The big man wants to play for the badge and has been a Queen’s Park player for a number of years now and knows what it is about.
“He was definitely one I wanted to retain and I believe he is going to be a big player for us this year.”
Charlie added: “It was great to see the boys again. The club have played a massive part in my professional life.
“Last season was a huge disappointment but with the club support
“Now I want to repay the club’s faith and belief in me.
“It’s a new chapter for Queen’s Park and I’m excited to be part of it.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Sean as our new head-coach and playing at The city Stadium infront of our fantastic fans.
“I’ve stood with them in the stands over the last year or so, and I look forward to interacting with them this season from the pitch.”
