Red Sox Win First Game Without Devers With Roman Anthony HR
The Red Sox have won their first game without Rafael Devers.
The Sox beat the Mariners 2-0 Monday night on the back of a strong 6.0 innings by Lucas Giolito, who retired ten. But it wasn’t just Giolito, or the combined 3.0 innings of work by Justin Wilson, Greg Weissert, and Aroldis Chapman. One week to the day of his Big League debut, Roman Anthony hit his first career home run.
The Red Sox have won eight of the last nine.
It was largely on the back of Lucas Giolito, who retired 10 batters over 6.0 innings.
