Watch Red Sox Rookie Roman Anthony Blast First Home Run

Boston Red Sox rookie Roman Anthony has a sense for the moment.

Anthony, just one day after the foundation of the franchise was altered with a shocking trade, helped put a smile on fans’ faces with his first major league home run against the Seattle Mariners on Monday.

It’s almost as if he knew they needed it…

Anthony’s home run came off the bat at 104 miles per hour, and traveled 397 feet before landing in front of the bleachers at T-Mobile Park. If you’re interested in checking out the big blast, you can find it here.

Rafael Devers, who was shipped out in the aforementioned trade, coincidentally hit his first big league home run at the same ballpark on July 26, 2017.

Full circle.
