Tottenham keeping tabs on Manchester United star who is valued at £70m

0 4

One Manchester United attacker has been told that he is free to leave the club this summer, and Tottenham Hotspur are now contemplating whether to add him to their squad ahead of the new era under Thomas Frank.

Reports over the last few days appear to suggest that Frank is prioritising reinforcing Tottenham’s forward line, with Spurs trying to hijack Man United’s deal for Bryan Mbeumo.

Some sources have said that Spurs had launched an eye-watering £70m offer for Mbeumo, but it turns out that the Lilywhites are now considering paying the same amount for a Red Devils star.

Man United are currently the favourites to land Mbeumo, but Tottenham are now eyeing raiding Ruben Amorim’s side for a pacy young winger, who has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Portuguese coach.

Tottenham monitoring the situation of Alejandro Garnacho

It has now been revealed by The Daily Mail that Alejandro Garnacho has been told by Amorim that he can leave the club after the winger publicly disagreed with his manager’s decision to leave him out of the starting eleven for the Europa League final.

Man United are looking to raise funds to facilitate some big-money moves and the Argentine is seen as one of their most sellable assets.

The Manchester club have now slapped a £70m price tag on the 20-year-old, who has no shortage of interest.

The report says that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Garnacho, while Aston Villa and Chelsea are also watching his situation with interest.

Garnacho is attracting interest from Europe but he wants to stay in England

The Mail reveal that Bayer Leverkusen are also fans of the pacy winger while Napoli are also exploring a move for the attacker.

However, Garnacho has made up his mind that he wants to remain in the Premier League, thus giving the English trio an advantage over the suitors abroad.

If Tottenham were to meet Man United’s asking price for the Argentina international, he would become the North London club’s record signing, beating out the £65m they paid for Dominic Solanke last summer.
