Welcome to Queen’s Park – Carlo Pignatiello

0 1

QUEEN’S PARK FC is pleased to announce the arrival of new signing, Carlo Pignatiello.

The 25-year-old can play in a number of positions, but has operated mainly as a right-back in recent seasons.

Versatility is a key attribute for head-coach Sean Crighton who knows Carlo well from a spell they shared at Dumbarton.

Sean Crighton said: “Carlo can play full-back, in the middle of the pitch or out wide.

“He is a guy I know I can trust and a player who has been in the Championship before and now has a point to prove that he can play at this level.

“I said when I took the job I want players like that and Carlo fits the bill. I know exactly what I will get from him.”

Carlo Pignatiello added: “I’m delighted. When Sean phoned it was an easy decision and the one I wanted to make to play under him.

“The pair of us obviously played together at Dumbarton so I know what he was like. He was our leader on the park, our captain and he has all the qualities to be a good manager so I’m buzzing to be part of that.

“It might be strange to calling him ‘Gaffer’ but he has built up experience managing reserve teams at Dumbarton and here and you could tell it was something he wanted to do.

“He was like a manager when he was on the pitch so it’s a role he seemed destined to do.”

Sean gave Carlo a tour of Lochinch and The city Stadium and the right-back knew he’d made the right move. He added: “When I saw the facilities I couldn’t wait to get started.

“I’ve not seen a better pitch than the one at the stadium… maybe ever!

“I’ve been around Lochinch and it’s a top facility – I think this is just somewhere you’d want to come and play football.”

Opportunities to sponsor Carlo for season 2025-26 are now open. Contact our commercial team on 0141 632 1275 or email kieran@queensparkfc.co.uk.
