The 25-year-old shot-stopper came through Southampton’s academy after joining the Saints at the age of 10 and made appearances on the international stage for England at under 17’s level.

Parkes signed for Watford in 2019 and went on to have loan spells in the National League with Barnet and Dover Athletic.

Following his time at Watford, Parkes was signed by Plymouth Argyle but never made a first team appearance for the pilgrims.

For the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign, the goalkeeper joined Plymouth Parkway and impressed at Bolitho Park earning him a move to Taunton

Last season, after a spell with Taunton Town, Parkes signed for Gosport Borough under the management of Joe Lea and Pat Suraci and made 30 appearances at Privett Park.

The goalkeeper has now made the move to Tatnam and signed for the Dolphins for the upcoming campaign.

After signing for the club, Parkes said: “I’m buzzing to have signed on for the season, I can’t wait to get started and hopefully create some positive memories.”

Parkes added: “Joe and Pat are starting to build a really strong team and with the right togetherness, I am sure that we will achieve big things.”

Joint-manager Joe Lea said: “We’re pleased that Parkes has joined us, again he is someone we’ve worked with before, a good young goalkeeper who has attributes that suit the way we want to play.”

He added: “It’s good to have quality and strength in depth in that department and we’re really pleased to see what he can achieve with us.”
