DFC announces Kent’s largest FREE football training session as part of Fun Day event.

0 24

Dartford Football Club is hosting the county’s largest free training session for children as part of its popular DFCSA’s Fun Day in July.

First team manager Ady Pennock and players Samir Carruthers and George Whitefield, alongside women’s first team players Georgie Davis and Shauni Griffiths, will be among a host of familiar faces running the free sessions with Darts Academy Manager Ben Greenhalgh for up to 240 children. Now’s your time to sign your child up for what is sure to be a highly-sought after spot.

The exciting training session is part of the Club’s wider Fun Day run by the DFC Supporter’s Association, which promises to be the best and biggest yet.

A bouncy castle, children’s games and stalls, food and drink stalls and music will be among the fun on offer around the ground for families on 6th July.

The football training session at the Club’s 4G training pitch will be split into two from 10am to 12.30pm, with all children who sign up given an hour slot. Sessions for ages 5-8 will run at 10am and ages 9-12 at 11.30am. During this time, children will take part in some drills and games, before a ‘beat the player’ game. Medals and certificates and a goody bag will be given to all participants.

Meanwhile, the Fun Day, taking place around the ground, takes place between 10:30am to 3:30pm. Personalised gifts and cards, homemade bags, pet and garden supplies, and cakes will be on sale, with a bouncy castle, children’s activities and an inflatable goal ensuring there’s plenty to do for all ages.

There will also be raffles, face and Henna painting, Kev the Dart with Darts fun, the Programme Pod selling old programmes, a Tarot card reader and Charity stalls with club sponsor ellenor and the Healthy Living Centre.

Children and supporters will be able to have their photos taken with the players and have the opportunity to meet people connected to the club that make it tick.

The shop will also be open with the chance to buy DFC merchandise and the Champions Bar will be open for drinks.

While there is car parking, the car park is expected to be very busy and the club advises that attendees look for alternative options nearby and walk to the ground.
