Man United name their price for 20yo ace who could leave the club this summer

Manchester United are prepared to sell Alejandro Garnacho this summer, but any potential suitor will need to meet their £60 million asking price, The Telegraph reports.

Garnacho’s future at Old Trafford is up in the air following a tense fallout after the Europa League final.

The 20-year-old winger made headlines when he publicly questioned manager Ruben Amorim’s decision to drop him to the bench in the gut-wrenching 1-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.

Garnacho had started in 10 of his 15 appearances in the Europa League this season, including every knockout fixture in the build-up to the showpiece in San Mames.

His only goal in the tournament came in the 3-2 League Phase win against Bodo/Glimt, but he was United’s joint-leading assist provider alongside Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte (four each).

Despite playing a crucial role in getting United to the final, Garnacho was dropped in favour of Mason Mount, whose season has been disrupted by recurring injury problems.

To make matters worse, Garnacho wasn’t introduced until the 71st minute. That didn’t sit well with the winger, who made his feelings clear after the game and hinted at a possible summer exit.

“I played every round to help the team reach the final, and today I only got 20 minutes,” he said. “I don’t know. I will try to enjoy the summer and then see what happens.”

Meanwhile, Amorim defended his controversial decision with a bizarre comment about Garnacho missing a big chance in the semi-final against Athletic Club.

When asked why he picked Mount ahead of Garnacho, Amorim said, “It’s easy to say that now. Who missed the big opportunity in the first half in the semi-final? Garnacho. Football is like that.”

This isn’t the first time Garnacho has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Both Chelsea and Napoli showed interest in January, with United briefly lowering their valuation to €65 million (£54.8m).

Chelsea never formalised their interest with a bid, while Napoli pulled out of the race due to Garnacho’s high wage demands.

Garnacho has three years left on his contract at Old Trafford, but with tensions rising, he could leave the club this summer if a suitable proposal arrives.
